What is
Olé Academy?

Olé Academy provides recreational soccer for all ages and skill levels. Our focus is on player development through a curriculum that is provided to our coaching staff.

All our coaches are current or former University players, assisted by parent coaches who undergo multiple hours of training.

Our Soccer Programs

Olé Academy is comprised of three programs designed to meet the specific need of every recreational soccer player.

Olé Academy Dinos

A seven week program takes the players on a journey with Ollie the Dinosaur to a different place each week. Through fun activities players are introduced to the fundamentals of soccer and begin building skills.

  • Boys & Girls 3 & 4 years old
  • Players learn soccer through fun activities
  • Parents on the field with their child
  • 7 weekly sessions
  • Choose from Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon
  • All sessions at St. Michaels Catholic Church
  • Cost is $120 and includes Olé Dino shirt and medal

Olé Academy Kickers

A seven week introduction to soccer. The curriculum is designed to build skills each week. Olé Kickers is aimed at players who have not played before or have minimal soccer experience.

  • Boys & Girls 5-12 years old
  • Minimal commitment, one hour each week
  • Choose from Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon
  • Players learn skills each week from qualified coaches
  • Small sided games each week
  • 7 weekly sessions
  • All sessions at St. Michaels Catholic Church
  • Cost is $120 and includes Olé Academy shirt and medal

Olé Academy Juniors

Our semi-competitive program is a bridge between recreational and competitive soccer. Players have played before either recreationally or in a church league or school program. Our curriculum builds skills and game knowledge using small sided games.

  • Boys & Girls 5-16 years old
  • Commitment of one weeknight practice and one weekend league game
  • Our certified coaches are either current college players or former players
  • Practices are at St. Michaels Catholic Church on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, 5:45 – 7:00 pm depending on age
  • 8 games each season, Saturdays at St. Michaels or in Germantown
  • Cost is $295 for the season (new players need a uniform for $75)

Simple! We offer a program for every skill level from beginner to advanced. Anyone interested in playing soccer can find the program for them.

For our 3-4 year old players that have not played before Ole Dinos is a perfect fit.

If you have not played soccer, have had very limited experience in soccer or just want to commit to one hour a week, then Olé Kickers is for you.

If you have played in a team environment before for another recreational program, church league or school program, then Olé Juniors is the program for you.

If you are looking for something more competitive than recreational, before committing to a full competitive program, then Olé Juniors is the right choice for you.

Our coaches in each program consistently evaluate all the players during the season, if players are a better fit for another program our coaches will always recommend changing, even during the season.

Dino players need tennis shoes or cleats, long socks, size 3 ball.

Kickers need cleats, shin guards, shorts, long socks, size 4 ball.

Juniors need cleats, shin guards, size 4 ball (2020-2017) size 5 ball (2016-2011).

Olé Academy supplies jerseys for Dino & Kickers players included in the cost.

Juniors pay a one time fee of $75.00 for uniform that includes two game jerseys, two pairs of shorts and two pairs of socks.

Olé Dinos is $110.00 per season (Fall or Spring) including jersey.

Olé Kickers is $120.00 per season (Fall or Spring) including jersey.

Olé Juniors is $290.00 per season (Fall or Spring), uniforms are an additional one-time cost.

Spring Season

Olé Dinos season starts mid-March and runs through mid-May.

Olé Kickers season starts mid-March and runs through mid-May.

Olé Juniors practice begins mid-February. Games begin early March and run through mid-May (off during Spring Break).

Fall Season

Olé Dinos season starts mid-September and runs through early November (off during Fall Break).

Olé Kickers season starts mid-September and runs through early November (off during Fall Break).

Olé Juniors practice begins mid-August. Games begin early September and run through mid-November (off during Fall Break).

Olé Juniors teams practice on either a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. Practice is 5.45-7.00pm at St. Michaels Catholic Church.

Dino & Kickers players do not have practice, just weekend sessions.

Juniors games for 2020-2017 players are on Saturdays at St. Michaels.

Games for older age groups are held in Germantown on Friday nights or Saturdays. Times vary.

If you are unsure which program, Juniors or Kickers, is right for your player you can request a Placement Session. At a placement session each player is assessed on their skill and game knowledge and we recommend whether Kicker or Juniors is the best program.

We always want the player to be in the best program for them and their family.

Our volunteer Parent Coaches provide support for the team coaches during practice and games. Parent Coaches assist with field setup, oversee small sided games during practices. At games a Parent Coach will assist the coach by being with the substitutes, making sure players are ready when called on and other support activities.

Parents undergo 2 hours of on field training prior to the season starting and are encouraged to participate in the US Soccer Certification program.
